Decorated in decoupage, this refurbished lamp is covered in a collage made from issues of “Surgical Procedures”, a medical how-to manual published in the 1960s. “Decoupage”, derived from the French word for “to cut out” or “cut from something”, dates as far back to the 12th century or more, but came to the forefront as an artistic medium in 18th century Italy.
