“FRIDA KAHLO” DARKROOM LIGHT

$150.00

Kerosene lamps like this were originally used in photography darkrooms during the late-19th and early-20th centuries. Different filters would be added when developing negatives and prints to block wavelengths that would damage their work. Here it has been replaced with a image of artist Frida Kahlo (1907-1954, Mexican) printed on a special backlit material and layered between sheets of plexiglass. Darkroom Lights are one-of-a-kind works of art and unlike anything else you will find elsewhere.
