Deck lights like this were originally used during WWII as signal-lights to communicate with other ships, as well as for other general purposes. This authentic WWII US Navy issued lamp is modified to include a backlit image of “Elder’s Hand,” a collage assembled from cut-out magazine advertisements by an anonymous San Francisco, CA street artist in the 1990s.
