This sconce is made from a vintage utility box and is wired to illuminate “Venus of the Waves”, a painting by artist Francois Boucher (French, 1703-1770). Boucher is known for depicting the mythical world with typical Baroque sensuality, and here he shows putti and doves as they attend to Venus, the goddess of love.
